Blockchain the Inception of a new Database of Everything?

Blockchain the database of everything, intelligenthq, illustration by Dinis Guarda Blockchain the Inception of a new Database of Everything? The blockchain

By Dinis Guarda. The best metaphor for Blockchain is that is a bit like one of one’s own home address using the words of William Mougayar. One can publish his or hers home address publicly, but that doesn’t give any information about what the home looks like on the inside. You’ll need your private key to enter your private home, and since you have claimed that address as yours, no one else can claim the same address as theirs.

Will collective intelligence change the way we work? | MIT Sloan Executive Education

We’re in the midst of a transformation in how businesses are organized. Typical corporate hierarchies are starting to look overrated, and changes in coordination technology have the power to make work and innovation even more democratic. However, according to MIT organizational theorist Thomas Malone, most of us are still victims of a centralized mindset, the idea that in order to manage things it’s best to put somebody in charge who gives orders to other people. He urges us to look at the many new ways of organizing that allow more people to have more involvement in decisions–and for better results.

By MIT Sloan Executive Education. Of course, decentralization, communication technologies, and collective intelligence can’t and won’t take the place of leadership, or even make it less important. By Andrew Lauland. Too often, lines of authority and capability overlap or are unclear, leading not only to inefficiency and uncertainty but to dangerous gaps. There is a desperate need to define a “federalism of cyber security” as has been done for the physical world.
